SMCG is seeking experienced Medical Billing Specialists to join our growing team. These positions are ideal for billing professionals who have extensive practical experience and are looking to advance their careers in a dynamic healthcare environment. The position offers hybrid work arrangements in North Houston.Key Requirements
- Experience: 7-10 years minimum in medical billing
- Certification: CPC certification not required
- Location: Must be based in North Houston area
- Work Type: Hybrid (office presence required when needed)
- Compensation: $20-22 per hour
- Preferred: Experience in physical therapy billing
Core Responsibilities
- Process and submit claims within required timeframes
- Perform claim scrubbing and ensure accuracy
- Work with insurance companies to resolve claim issues
- Handle denial management and appeals
- Post payments and adjustments accurately
- Maintain patient accounts and billing records
- Generate and review standard billing reports
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience with medical billing software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Professional communication abilities
